Kathie West CPA Audit
Darton College, Associates of Applied Science in Accounting, 2008 Georgia Southwestern State University, Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, 2012 Kathie joined Geer & Associates 6 years ago as a Senior Accountant and advanced to Audit Manager in 2014. Kathie is responsible for accounting outsourcing, in addition to overseeing audit, review, and compilation engagements for the firm. Prior to joining Geer & Associates, Kathie gained several years of auditing and accounting experience in both the public and private sector. Customer Service! The driving force behind Kathie West’s management style is treating the client like she would want to be treated. Maintaining strong customer relationships by being accountable, accessible and accurate are the keys to success for an accounting firm. Kathie believes that quality work speaks volumes for a service oriented profession and backs up that belief with a strong work ethic. Kathie’s customer service experience began in the banking industry some 15 years ago and has followed her through her career in accounting and human resources. Graduating from Georgia Southwestern State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Kathie is preparing to sit for the Certified Public Accountant Examination in 2014. Kathie has been a Senior Accountant at Geer & Associates for six years before accepting the responsibility of Audit Manager.
Donna Harrington
Troy State University, Bachelor of Arts in Music 1988 Valdosta State University, Bachelor of Science in Accounting 2000 Donna joined Geer & Associates with an extensive experience in accounting and bookkeeping. As a Senior Accountant at Geer & Associates, Donna assists small to medium businesses and individuals with their tax preparation and accounting needs. Before joining the firm Donna held accounting positions where she managed an array of accounting services for clients consisting of corporations and individuals. Donna earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Troy University in 1988 and continued her education to earn a second Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 2000 from Valdosta State College. Donna’s responsibilities also include overseeing the month-end closes, project reporting and supervising accounts payable and receivable.
Marcia Clubb
United States Airforce, Staff Sargeant, E-5, 7 years United States Airforce, Radar Division, Business/Secretarial, 2 years Marcia has been working in the public accounting field and doing bookkeeping for small businesses for over 20 years. Her extensive work experience includes bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts, accounts payable administration, billing and accounts receivable functions for multiple small business accounts, while also dealing directly with the business owners. Joining Geer & Associates in 2005 Marcia performs meticulous work with data entry, account reconciliations, payroll tax preparation and compliance, sales tax preparation and compliance, and prides herself in customer service, general ledger maintenance, complete payroll services and training clients to use QuickBooks accounting software.
Kathy Prisant
Darton College, Associates of Arts Degree Executive Business Administration, 1977 Valdosta State College, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Marketing and Organizational Public Relations, 1979 Joining Geer & Associates in 2009, Kathy provides high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, arranging conference calls, scheduling meetings and staff travel while acting as a liason with clients, vendors and staff. Kathy plays a vital role in the smooth operation of business at Geer & Associates by carrying out multiple administrative duties, attending meetings, taking notes, establishing communications between customers and executives, and maintaining good office relations. With many years of experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry Kathy has a keen awareness of the importance of confidentiality and privacy for all clients and staff of Geer & Associates.
Cheryl Vaughan
As an attorney, Mrs. Vaughaun assists with valuation and forensic projects and is invaluable during litigation based projects of the firm. Ms. Vaughaun’s areas of expertise include deposition analysis and litigation strategy.
